September 2008: What's New on Krishna.com

Welcome to September’s edition of the Krishna.com “What’s New Newsletter”. Here at Krishna.com, we had a most joyous Janmashtami celebration. We hope you also enjoyed all of the wonderful new content and material we featured all about Krishna. And, just as the month of August was all about Krishna, September focuses on the appearance anniversary of Krishna’s eternal counterpart and loving consort - Srimati Radharani. Take some time to learn about Radharani. She is Krishna’s most beloved devotee, and it is only through Her mercy that we can ever hope to reach Lord Krishna.

So, open your eyes, ears, and mind to everything we are offering here at Krishna.com - the site all about Krishna.

Your servants,
The Krishna.com Team

Srimati Radharani

Festival: Srimati Radharani’s Appearance

Srimati Radharani is the eternal consort of Lord Sri Krishna, the Supreme Personality of Godhead. Together, they are known as the divine couple, and are the full manifestation of God. Embodying perfect love for Krishna, Radha is known as the personification of Bhakti, or loving devotion to God. Loving God is our natural state, now dormant. By Her pure example, Radha is the beacon calling everyone to re-awaken full love for Krishna. She also dispenses mercy to help us achieve that goal. On this special occasion known as Radhashtami, all devotees of Krishna should take advantage of that mercy and become absorbed in the glories of Srimati Radharani.

Acharyas: “So, Craving is the Only Need”

In this latest edition of “Acharyas”, Srila Bhaktisiddhanta Saraswati Thakur explains how the only way to approach The Supreme Lord is through His own will and mercy. But, to obtain His mercy, we must hanker and crave for Him. This is devotion. It is only possible to understand the Absolute in this way, not through any sort of intellectual endeavor or other means.

Sri Sri Radha Krishna

Stories: Harinama Dasi Narrations

Krishna.com has recently been blessed with so many of her new recordings that we decided to created a whole new section entitled “Harinama Dasi Narrations”. We are all very thankful to Harinam Dasi for narrating these wonderful tales. For Janmastami alone, she completed four new narrations about Sri Krishna and also released a narration about the wonderful appearance of Srimati Radharani. In honor of Srila Prabhupada’s Vyasa Puja, she also narrated pastimes of Srila Prabhupada as given in the book “Our Srila Prabhupada: A Friend to All”. So, take this opportunity and let your ears and mind become enchanted by these beautiful stories.
