Transcribers needed.
Krishna.com is looking for a few qualified transcribers.
Part of our plan is to make available print versions of all our audio and video material, especially for the benefit of those who prefer reading or printing out things to read anywhere they go. Sometimes it’s not possible or practical to listen to an audio or video clip, but by making transcriptions available, anyone can take advantage of reading a lecture anywhere, anytime, as long as there’s light to read by.
Also, from an Internet strategy point of view, every time we make our audio/video material available in transcribed form, we improve Krishna.com’s online position as the premier provider of information about Krishna consciousness.
The ideal candidate for Krishna.com Transcriber would, first and foremost, enjoy listening to lectures with great attention. Experienced transcribers report that there’s no better way to get the most out of hearing a lecture than to be responsible for presenting it to someone else. Transcribing is easy, fun, and a great way to become absorbed in Krishna consciousness, provided you have a few key qualifications:
1. Reasonably good typing skills (at least 40 wpm)
2. A good command of the English language
3. Familiarity with common Sanskrit terms
We can provide transcription software to qualified candidates.
