“Time I am,” says Krishna in Bhagavad-gita, “the great destroyer of the worlds.” Time is one feature of Krishna’s energy that everyone must surrender to, whether we like it or not. 2009 is right around the corner. 2008 is soon to be history. Soon we’ll have to be more conscious when dating our documents to reflect the unstoppable passage of time.
We look forward to a “new year,” and before we realize what happened, it’s time for another “new” year, and another, and another, and another. And it speeds up as we get older. As the song goes, “the days are minutes, the weeks are hours, the years are days then you push up flowers.” Fortunately, any moment spent remembering Krishna is not lost.
For a person who centers his life on hearing the transcendental discussions and events related to the Supreme Personality of Godhead, time loses its fearful aspect. Krishna has no beginning or end, and neither do we. Every moment spent thinking of Krishna has the flavor of eternity, knowledge, and bliss–which is what the spiritual world is like all the “time.”
Please take a moment of your valuable time to look at some of the things Krishna.com is able to offer you this month. We think you will not be disappointed. And Happy New Year to you!
