What is Back To Godhead Magazine and Why Should I Subscribe?

In his Calcutta living room in 1944, His Divine Grace A.C. Bhaktivedanta Swami Prabhupada started Back to Godhead Magazine, using paper he obtained with great difficulty from the Indian government—thanks to wartime rationing. Back to Godhead was initially written, typed, edited, printed, and sold—on the street, one copy at a time—by one person. It is now an internationally known publication, with millions of copies in circulation.

Most magazines talk—often in outrageous detail—about things nobody needs to know. But how many magazines give practical, spiritual insight that we all really need? Where, on any newsstand, is there information about who we really are, where everything comes from, and what we’re supposed to do? Back To Godhead was started to fill that void.
