Mahesh Pandit was a devotee of Lord Nityananda mentioned in the Chaitanya-charitamrita:

"In great love of Krishna, he danced to the beating of a kettledrum like a madman."

Uddharana Datta Thakura - yet another prominent devotee of Lord Nityananda mentioned in Chaitanya-charitamrita. In his purports, Srila Prabhupada mentions various social, economic, geographical, and spiritual similarities between his own family and the family of Uddharana Datta Thakura.
