BG Chap 14 - The father and mother of all forms of life

Prakṛti is the mother and Kṛṣṇa is the father of all forms that arise within all wombs in this world. All species of life are made possible by birth in this material nature by the seed giving father, Kṛṣṇa. Of all the bodies that appear within the wombs of the creatures from the devas to non moving beings, prakṛti is the cause of their appearance; it is the mother. Kṛṣṇa is the father that supplies the heap of small conscious particles according to their karmas into the wombs of the various species. Not only at the time of creation is prakṛti the mother and Kṛṣṇa the father but always.
