Slow and steady wins the race! Only $12,000 $5,221 more is needed to keep alive and vibrant for the next six months. A big THANK YOU to those who've contributed to our Fall Fundraiser so far. If everyone gave a few dollars (say, between five and fifty) we could get rid of this banner and go back to doing what we love most: helping people all over the Internet discover Krishna. If you give $25 or more, we'll email you a gift of the Bhagavad-gita audio book. How about that? Click here to donate.

Why a pentagram?

At the Radha Krsna temple in Miami FL they have a beautiful temple with a marble floor, but there's a pentagram built into the floor? I'm intrested in learning about krsna and all things related to him but as a reformed christian i only know this to be a sign of the devil.... I know hinduism was around much much before christianity and the christains could have taken this symbol and put their own spin on it, if so what does this symbol mean in relation to Lord Sri Krsna?

PS: I didn't feel comfortable asking this question at the temple so i thought i'd try it here,Thankyou.

Do you have a picture? Is it a building built by ISKCON or bought? In the latter case it'd be necessary to find out who made it.

Pentagram has more interpretations. In India it symbolizes five mahabhutas, elements (this is also the concept of Western witchcraft traditions) and is related to Durga. I'm not aware of its direct relationship to Krsna.
