Offering Celery, Onions, and Yeast to Krishna

Question:
Is celery in the onion/garlic family? Can it be offered to Krishna? What about baked goods containing yeast?

Our Answer:

Celery is a common vegetable in America. It's only onions, garlic, and mushrooms we avoid—celery isn't in the same family as the onions, whereas leeks are. Most baked goods can be offered to Krishna, as long as they are egg-free.
