Why does Krishna.com look different?
We’re always thinking how we can make Krishna.com's wealth of practical spiritual resources accessible to everyone—newcomers, seekers, and Krishna devotees alike.
We have our work cut out for us. Krishna is a big subject—bigger than any website can handle. When we say “Krishna,” we’re talking about the source of all of us, of all reality, the Absolute Truth, and the origin of the Vedas—which, by definition, contain all knowledge. What to do?
We’ve started by dividing our categories differently. “About Krishna” leads to everything from the most basic overview to specific info on Krishna the person and the philosophy and practice of Krishna consciousness, and from there to our Reading Room, where you’ll find many hundreds of in-depth articles on every aspect of Vedic spiritual wisdom and its unlimited practical applications.
Much of what you’ll find on Krishna.com is derived from the study of the Bhagavad-gita As It Is, an essential summary of practical spiritual knowledge.
Looking for information on ISKCON (the International Society for Krishna Consciousness), including its founder, His Divine Grace A.C. Bhaktivedanta Swami Prabhupada? Or interested in connecting with other Krishna.com visitors and reading their latest spiritual realizations and blogs? Want to locate a Hare Krishna temple/restaurant/farm community near you, or learn about upcoming spiritual festivals? Maybe you want to explore opportunities in formal spiritual education, or choose from a selection of recorded lectures and classes.
Again, self-explanatory. Every book, CD, DVD, piece of clothing, article for home worship, incense, musical instrument for kirtan, and decoration related to the art of practicing Krishna consciousness is right here, for your shop-'til-you-drop convenience, with the same excellent, saintly, and patient customer service that has made us famous.
important note: You may find that some features aren't yet up to speed. We're aware of some already, and we're working on them. If you find something that doesn't work, please let us know.
