BG Chap 18 - Result of knowing the controller

One should take refuge in the Paramātmā alone with all of one’s facilities such as body, mind and all other elements. By His mercy, one would attain the eternal spiritual abode. This surrender to the Supersoul is for worshippers of the Supersoul, whereas the worshippers of Bhagavān surrender to Bhagavān, which will be explained later. This is the opinion of some. Others say this surrender is to none other than Kṛṣṇa, Arjuna’s companion. It was stated before that Kṛṣṇa is seated in everyone’s heart (BG 15.15). Uddhava has said in Bhāgavatam (11.29.6) that the Lord appears externally as the ācārya and internally as the Supersoul, to deliver the souls. Arjuna had also previously agreed with authorities and said Kṛṣṇa is the Supreme Brahman and supreme abode. Thus one should be fixed in Kṛṣṇa’s teachings.
