The spiritual form of the jiva ?
Does the soul have a form or it is formless ? If it has a form then why does Lord Krishna award the soul a spiritual form. I read that the soul is given the body of Krishna and then the soul becomes one with that body. In other words the soul is one in quality with Krishna but different in quantity. Now only if the soul is formless a need arises for the Lord to give His own body to the soul otherwise if the soul already had a form then what was the need for the Lord to give His own body to the soul. I request someone to explain in detail ?

We have our spiritual form (svarupa) but while we're in samsara this form is shrunk into a mere spiritual spark. By spiritual practice we develop our svarupa again.
"the soul is given the body of Krishna" isn't exact. In Vaikuntha svarupa looks like Visnu's form (minus Srivatsa) but in Goloka it can be of various types as per our rasa.
