Narottama Dasa Thakura was a lifelong celibate. He is famous for his many devotional songs, such as Prarthana and Prema-bhakti-chandrika.

Krishnadasa received the name "Kaviraja" or "King of Poets" from Jiva Goswami. He wrote Chaitanya-charitamrita, the biography of Lord Chaitanya.
